What's the role?

You drive the development of new solutions and product concepts in the areas of advanced-control and mechatronic systems within Corporate Research & Technology. Your ideas contribute to Hilti technology roadmap and future products definition and development.

What does the role involve?

In this role you drive product and technology innovation in the area of Control Engineering and new Mechatronic Systems. You show technical feasibility and customer value of your ideas by developing proof-of-concepts and functional prototypes. You are involved in R&D projects with national and international partners in Academia and Industry. You apply your expertise in Advanced Control to a diversity of applications as robotics, mechatronic systems, and construction tools.

Our Headquarters is located in Schaan, in the beautiful and mountainous Rhine Valley. What you need is:

  • MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics/Physics, or related field. PhD preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Academia/Industry preferred
  • Proven experience with advanced control theory and frameworks (e.g. Model Predictive Control)
  • Understanding of optimization methods. Expertise with state estimation applied to real world problems preferred
  • Expertise with Matlab/Python, C/C++ required. Familiarity with embedded platforms preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Collaborative mindset, business acumen
